Cheap Home Remedy for Acne and Pimple Remedies
If you have an acne problem that takes a long time to clear, you might want to check out this effective home solution to clear acne.
The biggest problem that most teenagers face is acne, the much dreaded pimple, waiting to burst out like a volcano. We have zit erasers, microdermabraision and so on but what is a cheap and cost effective way to get rid of acne? Here is a guide that will help show you how!
Repeat the following twice a day, once before you wake and once before you sleep.
1. Use a gentle cleanser, like Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser. It is very effective. One thing good about it is that it is so gentle, you can use it more than twice a day! But it is the only thing in this guide that you can use more than twice a day, so just remember. Here is how to use it properly. Press down twice on the nozzle, that should give you enough. Make it into a lather by rubbing your two palms gently together. Following that, just massage it gently on the following parts of your face in circular motions: forehead, nose, cheeks, temples, chin, just between the nose and lip. Rub some on the neck as well if you get acne there. Do it for about 2 minutes and rinse it away. Dry your face with a towel and leave it alone to dry for a good 5 minutes.
2. It's benoxyl peroxide time! It is the most effective and cost effective treatment for acne yet. Start with about 2.5% benoxyl peroxide and use it for about a month. If the results do not show after that period of time, try a 5% one. That should already work. If not, you are doing something wrong, maybe you are not diligent in the whole process, like skipping on steps on doing it only once a day. Remember, do not, i repeat do not start with a strong concentration! Like with all facial creams, start with a small amount on a single spot on your face for a few days and see if your face reacts to it. If it does not, continue. If it does, change to one with another one. Neutrogena is a safe bet. Squeeze a relatively large amount, enough to cover your face with a thin layer throughtout and once again massage it gently throughout until the gel dissolves into the skin and becomes invisible.
3. Leave your face for another 5 minutes for the benoxyl peroxide to set in. Now, your face should feel a little tight and might feel a bit uncomfortable. Do not wash your face though! Now take the moisturizer and squeeze enough to cover your face with a thin layer. (A little less than what you apply for the benoxyl peroxide) Gently rub your face with the moisturizer, especially areas in your T-zone. Do not believe the myth! If you do not know what the myth is, click here. Use a moisturizer with at least SPF-15 and make sure it is oil free and non-comedogenic. I use the one below.
4. Moisturizers are to be put on dry areas on the face only. Not true! They are to be put on areas which are oily as well because these areas might be oily because there is not enough moisture. So for areas like the T-zone, apply a little moisturizer on it, just in case. Remember that!
You should be getting results after a month or so now. Continue this guide for a few months after your skin clears and after that, you can reduce the amount of benoxyl peroxide maybe except on areas which are prone to acne, but keep up the moisturizers and facial cleanser! That's all folks!
