It's extremely fun to go into online dating. You can meet new people, make new friends, you might even find the love of your life when you are dating online. However there are dangers to watch out during online dating. These dangers of online dating can get you into some very hot soup so please watch out! Be wary of people who actually ask you for money. The rule of thumb is, never wire any money to anyone that you do not know well. In fact, don't wire any money to anyone other than close friends or family. There are scams that involve people 'seducing' you and then running off with your money. Be safe!

You might actually be communicating with a married person! And I'm sure you do not want to cause the break up of a happy family now would you?

There are some very dangerous people when it comes to online dating. These people are actually little 'stalkers' and might show up at your door even though you have not given him or her your address. Be careful what kind of information you let out, just be casual until you get to know the person over a longer period of time.

Bear in mind that when you give out your email address, you might be subscribing to spammers so you might actually get flooed with online dating spam and yet, never hear from the person.

You can be lied to any time. After all, everyone is hidden behind a computer screen. Not the burst your bubble but the charming banker you are communicating with could be a geeky nerd earning minimum wage.

There are perverts out there looking for quick and easy way to get sex. Never ever arrange to meet up with someone you just met online. Always wait at least 6 months to a year of FREQUENT conversing before meeting up. Trust your gut instinct and not your heart. If you don't trust him or her enough, just don't meet up. You got nothing to lose.
