Inspirational Christian Story - Know Faith, Know Peace

Every tomorrow has two handles. This inspirational christian story asks you one thing: "I can take hold of it by the handle of worry, or the handle of faith. Which will I choose?"

A woman who had been subjected to bleeding for twelve years came up behind Jesus and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.” Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed from that moment.

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Laura E.Richards often wrote stories exploring man’s capacity for tenderness toward those around him. One such story, “The Hill,” tells of a small boy, discouraged and doubtful that he could ever make it to the top of a large hill. His older and wiser sister tricks him into playing a game in which the two match footprints to see whose is the best. After a while the boy looks up in disbelief.

“Why,” he said, “we are at the top of the hill!”
“Dear me!” said his sister. “So we are!”

Confronted by life’s problems, it often seems easier to despair. Instead of putting one foot in font of the other, confident we can make the climb, we remain stuck at the bottom. Faith is not complacent; faith is a potent mixture of belief and action. It is the big sister advising us to move our feet. When the darkness of despair descends over you, turn to the night-light of faith in possibilities greater than yourself. God has given us the gift to help us on our path to the top of the hill.
